Only I would do this!

Today we had another wave of great weather. it was about 37C (99F), so I went out did a few errands, cleaned up, and hit the gym. But what does every Canadian dream of doing when it's 37C out?

Findding a rink to play 90 minutes of hockey! So that's what I did. It was awesome. Much more intense than I was expecting, which is awesome. Mostly young college guys who haven't missed a beat of hockey their whole life. I still held my own, but I don't think I should continue to expect to be able to work out intensely before hitting the rink. They have a drop-in game at least once a week. Hopefully I can work this into my schedule. It was a ton of fun.

Man I'm going to be sore tomorrow, I'm out for now.

Apartment, Work and Paintball.

No pictures today, but this weekend, I'm spending all my time working, Fixing up my apartment and today I played some paintball with a couple of guys from work.

Last night I was up crazy late with work, close to 4:30 in the morning. It was a pretty long night. Today was pretty great, I got up pretty early and went out to Los Gatos Pursuit for some paintball. It was pretty awesome. It's up in the mountain areas towards Santa Cruz. It was pretty cool. I really wish I had brought my camera, because there were a few times it would have been awesome. There was a few moments that we were in firefights that reminded me of a few videogames. Chris from work was actually doing the Solid Snake Slither (thing MGS4) to avoid enemy fire.

Tonight, I've been trying to finish up my apartment so that I can finally be finished moving in, and post some images.

I'll post again shortly.

New Car

I finally reached a decision, and leased a car. I gota 2009 VW Passat.

It had all the features that I was looking for, including having a sunroof, while still having adequate headroom. It also has plenty of leg room, which is something, that was really annoying me about the Mazda6.
The engine really appeals to me. It is a 2.0T which has amazing gas milage for a regular gas engine. (Approximately 24/30 MPG). But what impresses me the most is it's acceleration. It hits 0-60 in 7.4 seconds. Not bad for a 4 Cyclinder Engine!

I'm still finishing up things with my apartment, and I'll be posting pictures soon.

Settling in

Today I ran a bunch of errands, most importantly I signed a lease on an apartment and a found myself a car I like. I'll be settling things within the next couple of days and hopefully I will have some pictures.

I'll be very happy to stop driving the Mazda 6. Although it is a bigger car by Mazda's standards, it's not for me. I'll be glad to end the month long search for a car.

Tomorrow I should have more to post.

Adventures in San Francisco with Lies.

Happy Easter,

Today Lies and I took the trip up to San Francisco to check out the Pier, and the Embarcadero area. We got really lucky with the weather once again.

I really was impressed with the artwork done by the street vendor. I really wish I had some money at the time, I probably would have bought something. Hopefully next time.

First day at Apple!

Although this is a blog about my adventures, I just wanted to make a small note that I had my first day on the job at Apple. It was an exciting day, and I had a lot fun. (This is about as much detail as I'll ever mention about work, don't worry :p )

More to come this weekend.

Note: If you came here to know more about my experience at Apple, this information will never be posted here. Sorry for the misrepresentation.
